What Are You Hiding From?

Do you know this feeling of how sometimes the very thing you’re avoiding is exactly what you need to confront to move forward?

Yes, we’ve all been there.

Staring at a task list, skipping over the one item we fear the most.

It’s tempting to put it off till tomorrow, next week, or maybe even indefinitely.

  • Hard Conversations: Giving feedback, speaking your mind, or sorting out a disagreement can be really tough, so we put it off.

  • Big Projects: Those huge tasks that feel too big to even start.

  • Chances to Grow: Like going for a promotion or starting to work with a coach, sometimes we shy away from stepping up.

Truth: The fact that you are avoiding it could be a sign that there is something important and valuable within that work for you and your growth.

The Value of Doing Hard Things.

Why do You avoid certain things?

Often, it’s fear—fear of failure, conflict, or even success.

And your mind wants to protect you from potential pain or failure.

But when you avoid these tasks, they don’t just disappear.

They hang over you like a dark cloud, affecting various aspects of your life, and making you feel stressed and stuck.

And it's the same resistance that often prevents you from achieving your true potential.

So why not confront this fear and step into the unknown with new perspectives and opportunities?

When you push through tough tasks, you build resilience and confidence, often to find out you're stronger than you thought.

Every time you face a fear, it loses its power over you and strengthens your ability to tackle future challenges.
