When Will The Clock Ring?
Tick Tock Tick Tock...
That was all I heard when I was sitting in the chair at the hairdresser with dye in my hair and a facemask on my face. Waiting for the color to finish.
And it hit me - I had no idea when the time was out and the clock was ringing for the time to be over and my rest in the chair done.
It made me realize that it’s a bit like life…
How often do we just let time pass by, waiting, postponing, not knowing when the clock will ring?
We all have a clock ticking in our lives, but we don't know when the time will run out...and one day, that clock will ring too.
This thought really got me thinking about how we use our time and brought me to an eye-opening question: What are we doing with the time we have?
Every tick of the clock is a precious second of life that, once passed, is irretrievable.
❓Are you using your time to live it as a reflection of your core, inside out, or are you living a life based on what everyone else wants?
❓Do you know your values and how to align your life with them?
❓Are you pursuing passions and dreams that ignite your soul?
❓Nurture relationships that enrich your heart.
❓Contributing to a world that needs your unique talents?
❓Are the choices of how you spend your time your own?
Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent - Carl Sandburg
Having urgency with how we spend our time doesn't mean we need to be in a constant state of rush.
Rather, it's about being mindful of the present and making conscious decisions that align with our long-term goals and values.
It's about prioritizing what truly matters, saying no to distractions, and embracing the preciousness of each moment.
You know how you go to the tailor and fix up that dress and suits, based on your metrics so it's a perfect fit for you and your body?
Why don't we have the same standards of our life and our time?
How would it feel to build a life, and spend your time, as perfect for you, like was tailor-made?
It all starts with the decisions and choices we make.
A wise man once said:
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.
The second best time is exaxtly right now!
💭 Think about that.
So, here's what's on my mind and how you can start today:
Appreciating Every Moment: Every tick of the clock is a chance to enjoy life. Are you taking those chances?
Making Choices That Fit You: When you decide how to spend your time, are you choosing things that feel like a perfect fit for you?
Pursuing What Really Matters: Are you chasing after things you truly want, or are you just following the crowd?
Building Genuine Connections: Are you spending time with people who really get you and make you feel at home?
That ticking clock at the salon was like a little reminder for me that the clock is always ticking...
A reminder to make every moment count and not just let time slip through my fingers.
To not watch the clock, but live my life in a way that when I look back, I'm happy with how I spent my time.
To fill it with things that make me happy and feel just right.
To build a life true to myself and where I fully Buy Myself.
So the real questions become:
In what areas in your life do you still let time pass by with every tick of the clock?
In what areas do you need to buy yourself more to live a life truly tailor made by you?
Answering these questions can sometimes feel scary and at times, bring unexpected outcomes that you don't know what to do with and how to deal with them.
As your coach, I'm here to help you develop these further and take small steps towards peeling off the layers and buying yourself.
🌟 My mission is to help you buy yourself.
